Graduation

She did it!! Haylee graduated kindergarten!!! She had a kindergarten program on Thursday where they all sang songs that they have been learning all year, then we went down to her class room and got see pictures and books that they have done through the year. Then they all got to say goodbye to their teacher, Miss Harms, who was in tears at the end. They got a cute little diploma and we took her home. She loved her teacher, who I thought was amazing, I hope she will be excited to go to 1st grade next year.So it is official summer vacation has now begun, I just hope she doesn't get bored. But for now let the summer games begin, they have already been out enjoying the pool. So now we are open for play dates and tons of fun.

Battle wounds

Emmet recieved his first battle wound today. Usually McCoy picks on kids that fight back because he likes the challenge, but poor Emmet was the exception today. He was asleep minding his own business and McCoy scratched his eye. I took pictures, I will post them. This poor kid's first few weeks are going to be rough.

We're home!!

Well we got to come home yesterday afternoon, and it has been insane!! Payton and McCoy both have been trying to pick Emmet up and lug him around, I have had to stop McCoy from getting in bed with him, and I have had to save his eyes and nose many times. The kids love him and I am afraid that they might love him to death. He is a really good baby, he is sleeping really good and we have had a lot of success with nursing. We are all in love with our newest addition. Aaron can't wait to get home to love on him and bond with him. He was the best birthday present I have ever gotten.

Emmet Nash Vargas

YAY!!!!! He is finally here. He graced us with his presence on May 26th at 3:30 pm. He weighs in at 6lbs even and 19.5 in long. He is amazing and I am in love. The kids find him facinating, although McCoy still isnt too sure. I cant wait to take him home and let the games begin.

Emmet

I went to the doctor again today, and nothing has changed. I am still a good sized three. But my contractions are considered active labor, just the baby doesn't want to work with my body and come out. He is driving me crazy!!! So if I don't go into labor by myself then he will see me again Thursday morning. If I have changed by then, then he will let them start me. The upside is that we got it set up so that Aaron can be in the recovery room via webcam, which is very cool. Not much else is going on other then we are playing the waiting game and it is getting old. I will let everyone know as soon as we have the little stinker.

Emmet

hah, made you think I had him huh? I should have had this kid by now, he is being so stubborn!! My body is working so hard to get him out and he will not budge. He probably thinks that he is going to pull a Payton, he is dead wrong. I went into labor with Pay while Aaron was in California and it was the same thing, my body trying and him refusing. After a lot of hours of contracting and a lot of pain I was fed up. We got Aaron a flight to Utah and as soon he got to the hospital my water broke I went from a 5 to a 10 and pushed him out. He was just waiting for his dad to get there. But I cannot carry Emmet until November!!!! He will have to give up and come out. We are contracting and cramping really good today so I will be walking and doing everything I can to get him out. My body is too tired for this to last much longer. I dont know what it is with these boys and their dad but he is not going to win this time, unless he knows something we dont. Maybe Aaron will get to come home in the next few days, yeah right!!

Haylee

Haylee had her ballet performance last night at the Granstville High School, and it was great. They performed Sleeping Beauty, and Haylee was a little minion with Sarah being Malificent. She had such a good time doing it, Sarah really makes it fun for the little ones. It was so cute and all of the dancers looked really good. Their dancing has really improved over the year. Haylee looked so cute in her funky striped tights and all black outfit. I was such a proud mom, I could have cried when she went out and took her last bow. Even the boys enjoyed most of he dancing. It was really cute and all of the dancers worked really hard to learn their new dances, they did a great job.

Baby Update

I went to the doctor today and I am still a good size three, but I am having really hard, strong contractions, so he thinks we will go any day now. He is hoping that I make it through the weekend, but he is doubting it. Everything is looking good and the baby still sounds really good. We will be walking and doing what we can to help the labor along, because I can't take it anymore, we are ready to get him here. He said that he would see me next week if not later today and I am hoping that it is later today. Wish us luck it will be any time now.

This is me on top of a Iraqi Police station providing overwatch for our patrol at one of our stops. Most everything now a days is handled by the IP's so we have been interacting a lot with them.

Ramadi, Iraq

Myke you are always asking me what I do over here. This is what I do in between movies and sleeping. This is a mounted patrol through Ramadi early one morning. It is pretty empty this early.

Race for the cure

Today my sister walked in the race for the cure. There were thousands of people there walking for friends and family and because they are survivors themselves. The walk was a 5k, I think. She has been training really hard to be able to do it and she did great. She finished in just under an hour. She is very proud of herself and so are we. Good job Nina, the rest of my family is hoping to join her next year. We have a few family members that are cancer survivors and it is really hard to watch them fight it. She did an awesome job and we are all very proud of her.

36 Weeks

We went to the doctor today and we hit 36 weeks today. The baby sounded really good and I measured perfectly. I also gained a pound, yay, the nurse was happy. He checked me today and I am a 2 1/2 almost a 3 and he didnt say how thinned out I am. Instead he tried to tell me I was a 12, funny funny. But we could go any time now, but we are hoping to make it to Monday the 18th. We are having regular contractions, but I am feeling okay. We will be working hard to get the rest of our Spring cleaning done before next monday, that is what will more then likely put me into full labor. But we will take it easy and he will come when he is ready. Wish us luck. Also good luck to my sister Nina, she is walking for brest cancer in the morning, I'm sure she will do really good.

The Zoo!!

So today we yet again got nothing done at home, instead we went to the zoo. We are getting very far behind on our spring cleaning. But I decided that the boys needed a day of fun too. Haylee would have gone anyway because it was her school fieldtrip, but the boys never get to go anywhere. Aaron's mom was going to go with Haylee instead of me, but I called her and said lets all go so we didnt have to miss out. We had so much fun!! We couldnt find Haylee in the beginning so we went and saw some animals and ran into her on the way. The boys loved the monkeys, they are all just like brothers, they reminded me of Payton and McCoy wrestling around with eachother. I think McCoy's favorite was the elephant he didnt want to leave. We saw everything and we did everything. We rode the new carousel, McCoy loved that, Payton didnt enjoy that as much because he couldnt ride a wolf. Then we went and rode the train and McCoy slept right through it. Good thing everything for him was free I would hate to pay for a ride that he sleeps through. We hiked all over that zoo several times to make sure we saw everything. We are all so tired, the kids all slept on the way home which was nice to not hear fighting in the back seat. But I am glad that we went and we all had a good time. Thanks to Cheryl for going with us and for driving. We had fun, just no one tell my doctor. I go there tomorrow to see how this little guy is doing, hopefully behaving himself.

Spring Cleaning

Here is a Spring cleaning update. It is coming slowly this week. I havent been feeling very good the last couple of days, I have been down with a massive migraine. Haylee had a ballet rehersal for her performance of Sleeping Beauty and today we went shopping with Aaron's mom. But we are starting to feel quite a bit better so I am hoping to get some more stuff done. Inbetween Pay's docotors appointment tomorow and my doctors appointment on friday and a baby shower on Saturday. We are pretty busy but we have to get everything done before the baby comes and we are getting very close. I hope I can at least get his laundry done and put away. I hope we get it all done, wish me luck.
